For Acute Care Facilities: A Message from our Director of D&I

As we approach our 9th month of the COVID-19 pandemic and the beginning of the 2020/21 flu season, we are very conscious of the challenges that continue to surround our healthcare partners, their environments and patients that they serve.  We can all agree that this is unlike any other year.

Our healthcare facilities have been asked to evolve, bend and adjust like never before – balancing patient care with infectious control and new workflows with added PPE. With quality of care at the forefront of everything they do, healthcare professionals will continue to focus on the opportunities for clinical improvement that lie ahead and will forge forward. We’re here to help.

Ronco’s Lean-certified clinical consultants and IT Implementation team continue to work with acute care facilities to help them adjust to their changing conditions and focus their efforts on patient care.

Over the past few months, Ronco has helped facilities establish faster, more direct communication between patients and nurses. By implementing alternative call cancel procedures to allow for seamless audio contact, staff can reduce the number of times they have to enter an infectious patient room – helping to stretch the use of personal protective equipment. To accommodate overflow patients, we have redesigned hardware programming to allow for a flexible bed count. For staff working specifically in COVID units, we have worked with clinical teams to enhance existing workflows to be more communicative to staff about patient’s status and requests.

We are devoted to supporting staff and administrators. The opportunity to develop direct and meaningful communication for our clinicians ultimately benefits all those in their care. Ronco is proud to serve the healthcare community and take great pride in the impacts we can help our partners make to deliver quality healthcare.

If you have discovered shortfalls in your hospital's technology or are in need of changes to your workflow, reach out to us today for assistance. We are in this together.
